Vegas Shopping

July 10, 2010
I slept late and we woke up early in the morning. Good thing it’s a 4-hour drive so i can catch up on my sleep. So this was a last minute trip (at least for me it was, i didn’t know about it ‘til the day before). I packed lightly since we’re only staying for the weekend.
We arrived at Nevada, picked up a family friend/boss, TL; went straight to seafood city; met up with cousins and ate at chowking. I ordered mongolian beef - and it was an utter disappointment. It tasted quite terrible but good thing my dad had extra fried chicken. Then my uncle ordered for Halo-Halo and it was huge. I had one for myself and i couldn’t finish it. I usually love that drink but not with ube icecream, beans, and those hard nasty things. The main thing i love about halo-halo is the sweet milk and ice. So anyways, we went to the hotel/casino called Boulder Station, dropped off our luggage and went to “Chinatown”, it wasn’t what i hoped for, it was a normal isolated shop with chinese stuff. Then the ‘kids’ were dropped off at Gameworks while my parents, TL, and I went to the Premium Outlet. Oh yesh. I walked around with TL and went around the whole outlet. I only bought a $5 baseball tee and TL bought me headbands. She also got the same one for her nieces. We spent 3 hours walking, only to buy little things. She bought a $100 watch at Zumiez, and a top from rue21. Strangely, she shopped at teenage stores knowing her age was in the 50s. Oh well, im very grateful since she was so nice. She even gave me $50 when we dropped her off her house. We picked up the guys at gameworks, then ate at the foodcourt and ordered panda express. Then my uncle and aunt came and we left. They were staying at a different hotel however.

I wore my headband today and styled my hair up. We roamed the hotel before eating brunch at a buffet. Oh and did i mention that the hotel was also a casino? We stinked of cigarettes and it was the worst. But the food was delicious. My dad also sneaked out of the buffet, to play one of the slots in the casino, and managed to win $19. My uncle was so generous and gave me $20! What is up with Vegas, i received a lotta money and i didn’t even play in the Casino. After that, we packed our stuff and moved to my uncle’s hotel. It was amazingly gorgeous. The hotel was called ‘Paris’ and obviously, the theme was of Paris. They even had a replica of the eiffel tower in front. The shops downstairs were stunning and i couldn’t wait to walk around. My cousins left, my parents slacked in the hotel room, my brother couldn’t care less and just played his PSP, while i took the hotel key, went downstairs, and window shopped. Oh and before i left, my dad gave me and my brother $20 each! Wow, i sure got a lot. The inside of the hotel felt like i was on the streets of paris, they even had the ceiling painted as a sky, the floors decorated into rocky grounds. They had this beautiful shop full of vintage girly things. It was wonderful to look at. Then i found these amazing shoes at a store called Schooz. it was also for sale - but not enough to fit my budget. We walked outside and it was burning hot. We were unsure of what to do so we roamed the streets of Las Vegas. We eventually got to this Hawaiian Marketplace which is a place full of shops with amazing stuff - my kind of view of ‘chinatown’ but with more expensive stuff. boo. Then this italian guy stopped me to paint my nails and advertise his nail-art stamping kit. it was so cute but way too expensive. Then we found a Filipino restaurant and ate caldereta and halo-halo (again) the dish tasted great though! We walked some more ‘til we reached the ‘Miracle-Mile Mall’ i was looking for shoes but most of them were hecka expensive. I bought a nice dolman shirt at H&M and now im in love with that store. We also bought a smoothie and a cookie at this Nestle Toll House Cafe and walked some more. Then my eye caught the most amazing, fantastic, gorgeous store of all - Urban Outfitters. The store was designed so uniquely i just had to go in, ignoring my brother’s grunges. Of course, i couldn’t buy anything since they’re all so much but i did take pictures in the store haha. We went back to the hotel, stayed for the night, and i made my dad promise to bring me to the mall on tuesday when we get back to Arizona.

I wore my new H&M striped-dolman shirt and i lalalove it. We packed our stuff, left the beautiful hotel and ate at Pinoy-Pinay, a filipino restaurant. My brother and I loved the the caldereta so much that we decided to eat it again. Then we went to seafood city to do some filipino grovery shopping. We left Nevada, stopped by at McDonlad’s, arrived at Arizona, went to my aunt’s house and gave her order of taho. I also got to play with my adorable little cousins, josh and ulrich. Then my aunt also gave me $20 ‘to watch despicable me’ - as her excuse of repaying my parents. But i kept it for myself anyhow.
